The St. Louis shopping scene has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. Accessory boutiques? Check! Shops just for pets? Check! Casual wear and lingerie? Check, check! Upscale dress boutique? Hmmm….check! Rachel’s Grove- 129 Chesterfield Towne Centere 63005 recently opened the doors to it’s beautiful dress shop in Chesterfield. Owner Rachel Forst, along with her sister and two nieces, have created a space filled with gorgeous dresses in an impressive array of colors and styles. Forst chooses each designer personally, with a nod to her southern roots. “I’m originally from Florida, so I like color!” says Forst, “I try to focus on variety- how the brands are made.” Names like Alice & Trixie, Sail to Sable, Devon Baer and Spartina round out the impressive line up at Rachel’s Grove.
While the shop does offer casual wear, the main focus is dresses. “St. Louis has lot of places to find denim, but not many specialty dress shops,” Forst explains. She tells about attending a graduation party last spring where several women turned up in the same dress from a mall store. “I realized there was a void among stores that catered to women who were looking for something special and couldn’t find what they wanted.” Rachel’s Grove carries a good size range and several pieces you won’t find anywhere else. Forst and her staff are knowledgable, friendly and ready to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Whether it’s for a wedding or upcoming commencement- they’ve got you covered! Here’s a peek at what they have in store:
