THE RIGHT TOOLS FOR THE JOB!
Sometimes you find a product and think, “Genius! I wish I had known about this years ago!” Which is exactly what ran through my mind when I discovered my latest obsession! Check out these babies:
What are they, you ask? Long known on the modeling circuit and loved by make up artists, these hair clips ROCK where others well, fail. These no-crease clips are the brain child of Ricky Kenig, founder of Ricky’s NYC, the eponymous New York high end salon product mecca. Mr. Kenig watched stylists backstage at shows using tissue paper under bobby pins to hold back model’s hair so as not to leave a crease. He then designed a clip with equal weight and tension distribution. They’re even treated with a finishing treatment that enables them to further limit creases and wrinkles in the hair.
I have used so many different types of accessories: duck bill clips, plastic clippies even barrettes, to keep my hair out of my face and every.single.one left a mark. When I heard about these clips, I though I would give them a go. The result? HANTASTIC! After drying my hair and before putting on make up, I clipped a few front sections back like this:
I applied make up (and let’s not kid ourselves, this can take awhile) finished dressing and pulled the clips out. Volia! NO CREASE! I was amazed that something this simple in design can erase a styling problem I have had for years. I love it when a product delivers and this clip does. They come in fun colors and shapes like this bow or a leaf design. Try them and you won’t be disappointed: www.rickysnyc.com And at just $5.99 a pack, now that’s HANTASTIC!
