There is a long list of things Mr. M would prefer I never do again. Things such as: balance the checkbook, attempt to paint any room of our home or set up mutual friends on dates. That last one is hard for me because if I know a great person and you know a great person, shouldn’t they know each other? See? Set ups can be fun! (Insert Mr. M’s frown here)
After months of hearing about a new boutique in town, I was finally introduced this week to Geranium- #28 The Boulevard 63117. This set up was arranged by Hantastic reader Kelly S., who was convinced Geranium and I would hit it off. She was right! Geranium is a charming locally owned and operated boutique in Brentwood. Their main emphasis is on jewelry, but stock includes clothing and home decor as well. “Our focus is on artisan jewelry”, says manager Lauren Riegler, “and each piece is tagged with the artist’s name and photo.” The pieces are displayed in unique settings, laid out on vintage books or arranged in boxes of rice. The result is a space that delights with each turn. Geranium keeps merchandise at a mid price point, with a sale rack and fun specials like “Free Earring Friday”. Riegler explains,” When visiting our store on Fridays, customers can choose a pair of earrings from a pre-selected grouping. No purchase necessary, it’s just a neat way to give everyone something special!” That’s a HANTASTIC deal! Here’s a peek at what Geranium has in store:
– The artisan jewelry collection- How cool is this wall?
-It showcases not only the jewelry, but the artist behind each piece. For example, these amazing earrings by Heather Lawrenz:
– Boxes of goodies await!
– My favorite collection; love the emerald color of these statement pieces! I’m picturing them with a crisp white blouse and dark skinnies!
– Or maybe turquoise is more your style?
– Love the vintage feel of this one!
– Off the cuff! Geranium has a huge selection of baubles for your wrist!
– A variety of handbags in different styles:
– Last, a sampling of Geranium’s apparel:
