A St. Louis Success-ory!

St. Louis is famous for a lot of cool things: the Arch, toasted ravioli, Cardinals baseball and hair bows.  Yep, you read that right, hair bows, right here from our fair city!  Wee Ones- 13601 Lakefront Dr  63045, has put St. Louis on the national hair accessory map for over 40 years.  Started as a one woman business, Wee Ones was recently purchased by Miles and Gina Faust, a couple who plan to take their famous products to the next level.  “First and foremost, we wouldn’t be where we are without such amazing customers from St. Louis”, says Gina, “they  made Wee Ones what it is today!”  And what it is today is a multi-brand hair accessory magnate with over 400 styles in each of their seasonal catalogs!  Wee Ones now offers not only their traditional grosgrain bows, but new details like sparkle ribbon, felt, tulle, crystal embellishments and embroidery. Exciting additions include Apres Les Petites, a line for older girls featuring more sophisticated styles.

What sets Wee Ones apart from other bows?  “All Wee Ones products feature superior designs and hand tied craftsmanship”, Faust explains, “they are made to order, not mass produced.”  This amazing attention to detail is why many of their customers who grew up wearing Wee Ones bows are now buying them for their own girls!  After all, the bigger the bow, the better the mama, right?  Company product designer Sana Shucart is an expert on researching upcoming trends.  She knows how to create trend-right styles for Wee Ones girls!  According to Shucart, big for Fall this year are animal prints, bright colors, plaids and anything with bling!  Wee Ones showed me some fabulous pieces from their Fall line AND gave me a sneak peek at what’s in store for Spring 2013!  Let’s get started:

– Felt is all over the place!  This cozy material tops off any outfit with just the right touch for the season!

Felt Petal Clips $11.50 (all prices retail approximate)

Two tone felt multi-layer clip $11.50

Felt owl clips $8.50

–  Animal prints are everywhere from bags to blouses, with these even little ones can rock the runway looks!

Animal print chiffon puffs small $10.50; large $13.50

Large zebra print grosgrain bow $8.00; Medium cheetah print grosgrain bow $7.50

–  Every season needs some sparkle!  These bows are decked out in hot colors for Fall!

Organza overlay grosgrain sparkle bow $7.00

–  And for Fall’s most popular day?  Check out these boo-tiful Halloween designs!

Fuzzy spider hair clip $11.50

Sparkly ghost hair clip $8.50

Large grosgrain bow w/ pumpkin applique $17.00

Large grosgrain bow w/ spider web overlay $13.00

Grosgrain headband w/ spider applique $17.00

Weesparkle bow w/ applique $12.50

Here’s the HANTASTIC part,  some glimpses of the Spring 2013 line!  I felt like Dorothy seeing what was behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz!  The amount of work that goes into creating a new line is impressive.  “Each line takes 6 months to put together”, says Faust, “they are based on trends while incorporating classic silhouettes like prints, patterns, etc..”  Showboard after showboard lined the walls, each more gorgeous than the last!  One of my favorite new pieces is the inclusion of embroidery.  Starting this spring, bows will be available with single letter monograms, all ready to go.  No more ordering and waiting! The colors we have to look forward to are bright, with whimsical prints and details, just the thing after a grey winter.  Here’s a look at what’s coming just for my Hantastic friends (available at Wee Ones retailers in January and online late Spring 2013):

– Bring on the monograms!  How darling are these?

King size grosgrain bow w/ outlined initial monogram $12.00

Faust and her team work hard to bring you the very best in hair accessories, because let’s face it, quality never goes out of style.  Her enthusiasm and pride for this company comes across in each bow.   “Wee Ones has been hand crafting girls’ hair accessories with classic designs for almost 40 years.  Moms that once wore Wee Ones bows are now outfitting their girls with our accessories.  Wee Ones has always been the trusted name in hair accessories, and we hope to grow and expand the brand with new collections that can carry on that tradition!”, Faust says.  While some products are available online, Wee Ones can be found at several local retailers, to find one near you visit their newly redeveloped website:  www.weeones.com  Now get out there and accessorize!
